Why haven’t we made the obvious connection between the 100% Grenache Noir Rose produced by the Daou brothers and our discriminating taste buds and seasoned palates?

The answer is obvious… we haven’t tried this American-based, Paso made, Provencal style Rose yet. 

Think value, like a Familie Perrin Provencal Rose. Think style, like a 100% Grenache rose produced by Gerard Bertrand like his Cotes du Roses.

With 2023 Daou Rose scoring 92 points with Wine Enthusiast, it is not a baby at 13.7% abv. 

The mostly loamy and fine soils of San Juan Creek and the El Pomar District are microclimates that are vastly different, enabling Daou to build natural diversity and complexity into the wine’s flavor profile. 

The overall quality of the 2023 vintage is exceptional. The wines have retained freshness and natural acidity while displaying beautiful flavor development. 

Delicate aromas of peach, apricot, mango and lemony vanilla are accompanied by floral hints of hibiscus and honeysuckle on the nose.

The palate is perfectly poised, balancing light and airy textures with a lush, crisp juiciness.

Flavors of nectarine, papaya and Crenshaw melon reveal lingering notes of  apple and citrus zest, all converging into a clean, silky finish.
