Hyde No. 7 President's Cask Irish Whiskey 750ml

A wonderful sherried single malt Irish whiskey, Hyde 6 Year Old No.7 President's Cask takes its name from Douglas Hyde, the first President of Ireland back in 1938. It's distilled from Irish malted barley and spent its entire maturation in Oloroso sherry hogsheads, before bottling at 46% ABV.

Nose: Fresh malt and orange chocolate, leading into baking spice and creamy vanilla, lemon curd and honeyed stone fruit.

Palate: Rich, oily malt, vanilla cream and dried apricot, with red fruits appearing, namely stewed plum and raspberry.

Finish: Honeyed spices and caramel, with tart red berries.
